No. Anyone with a GarageHQ account can claim a transfer. Personal-tier buyers receive vehicle basics, photo, mileage and MOT history regardless. Service history and expenses unlock at Garage tier and above. The seller doesn't need to know the buyer's plan in advance.
They sign up. The sell-listing page directs unauthenticated buyers to /login (with a 'sign up' option) and bounces them back to claim the listing once they're signed in. New accounts get the 14-day trial automatically so the buyer-claim path is unobstructed.
Self-serve no, contact-us yes. The 'undo' flow on a confirmed transfer is destructive (it deletes the buyer's vehicle row and child records) so we keep it admin-side. Email [email protected] and we'll revert it. The audit log makes this clean. Both parties can see what was reverted.
