Digital Service History

Service history the buyer can actually trust.

Log every service, MOT, tyre change and repair against the vehicle, with the garage that did the work, the mileage at the time, and a receipt attached. When you sell, the buyer gets a verified history pack. None of the 'lost service book' excuses.

For private owners who want a real service record, classic keepers preserving provenance, and small fleets that need maintenance audit trails for HSE or insurance.

How it works

What you get out of the box.

Date, garage, mileage, cost
Every entry captures who did the work, when, at what mileage and for how much. The garage list is shared across your account so you're not retyping 'My Local Workshop' a hundred times.
Receipts attached
Drop in the workshop invoice as a PDF or photo. It's stored against the entry and travels with the vehicle if you transfer it to a buyer's GarageHQ account.
MOT history for free
Every MOT pass, fail and advisory comes from DVSA automatically. You don't log MOT entries by hand. They appear, with the original advisory text and odometer reading.
Mileage trail
Log readings whenever you remember (fill-up, service, MOT, just because) and we plot the curve. Useful for proving genuine mileage to a buyer and for spotting your own anomalies.
Transfers to the buyer
Ticked into a sell listing, the service history copies to the buyer's vehicle when they claim. Their copy is theirs to add to. Yours stays in your account as the historical record.
Search and filter
Need to find when the timing belt was last done? Search across descriptions and the service-history view filters in real time. The 'Service' tab on each vehicle is a flat chronological log.
FAQ

Common questions

Will the buyer trust this more than a paper service book?

Most will, yes. The entries carry timestamps, the receipts are attached as PDFs, and the MOT history is straight from DVSA. A paper book can be 'lost' or back-dated; a GarageHQ history can't (the audit log shows when each entry was added).

What happens to my history if I delete the vehicle?

Delete is final. The service history goes with the vehicle row. If you've sold to another GarageHQ user via a transfer, both copies are kept (yours and theirs). You can delete yours later without touching theirs.

Can I import a paper service book?

Manually, yes. Type the entries in. We don't have an OCR import for paper books today (it's a known feature ask). You can attach a photo of each page to a single 'historical service book' entry as a stop-gap.
